ANOTHER MAGICAL INTERNATIONAL RENDEZVOUS
As in previous years, the 2008 event incorporates
the Italian CEIO, the Italian event of the Nations Cup/ CEIO Circuit
and the Roman Theatre Race: a CEI3* of 120 kms alongside a 90
kms national competition. The routes for the event are laid out
both on flat ground and on the hills surrounding the ancient capital
of the Umbrian people, perhaps the most beautiful mediaeval city
of Italy, as well as in the Monte Cucco natural park, with an
amazing mix of history, art, culture, sport and nature. The Endurance
Village, including the Veterinary Gate is set up within the archaeological
site which surrounds the Roman Theatre dating back to the Augustan
era, right next to the historic centre of Gubbio.
